Notes From the Cellar….. The snowflakes are falling and we have what is shaping up to be a cold weekend ahead of us which makes it the perfect time to stop by and grab something to help keep toasty! This Friday from 3-6 and Saturday we will be sampling a rich and dry Rioja Reserva that comes as a steal! New Morph, One Hop with Ella Hops and we were able to score 1 case of the Bennington Stout just released! 2007 Rioja Reserva, Castillo de Maetierra, Dominum QP, Spain- Quatro Pagos is a blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache varieties. The grapes used come from low yielding, old vines selected from four different districts in Rioja- hence the name Quatro Pagos or ‘Four Estates’. The QP is aged in new French oak barrels between 15 and 18 months and then sees extended aging in bottle. More modern in style, it is intensely aromatic with dark fruits and toast from the oak. Showing its ripe black fruits and dark chocolate on the palate, it is full bodied and meaty, with excellent acidity and integrated tannins on its long finish. $16.99 (10% off this weekend!)
