Fermented in steel, it has a delicate bouquet of citrus & tropical fruits and white flowers. Lighter bodied and dry, it maintains fresh acidity and makes a great pairing for hors d’oeuvre, fish & shellfish. $11.99 (10% off this weekend- $10.79) ’09 Château de la Cour d’Argent, Bordeaux, FR- A family owned estate since the end of the 19th Century, vines are planted in soils of chalky clay and sandy gravel using organic fertilizers only. A blend of 90% Merlot and 5% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, it gets a long fermentation period before being poured back over its skins for additional color and tannin.
