Wine Tasting Between 2 Blizzards

IMG 4963

Notes From the Cellar…..

Happy dig-out day! Our first blizzard of the season has finally dumped some snow on us and it looks like we have some more coming Monday. In case you haven’t been paying attention- Valentine’s Day is Tuesday! Don't run out of time to get that someone special a nice treat. In our humble opinion, wine is a great option to help warm you up and get comfortable on these cold, snow filled nights! This Friday from 3-6 and Saturday we will be pouring a couple of great wines that are the perfect complement to a nice bunch of flowers from Consider the Lilies!
’14 Varner El Camino Vineyard Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County, CA- Twin brothers Bob & Jim Varner have made a name for themselves as winemakers’ winemakers using traditional methods and restrained use of oak to produce classic examples of Chardonnay that deliver serious intensity, richness and nuance while highlighting bright orchard fruits, lemon citrus and light floral notes. It’s rich, buttery texture is wonderfully complemented by its lively fruit and fresh acidity. $29.99 10% off this weekend!
’13 The Counselor River Pass Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley, CA- Sourced from the River Pass Vineyard just north of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, this Cabernet delivers a big, full bodied wine reminiscent of many well known, high priced Napa Valley wines. Showing violet & ripe black fruit aromas- cherry, black currant and blueberry, it is intense and richly textured with vivid flavors of cassis framed by notes of chocolate and vanilla flavors. $32 10% off this weekend!
Don't forget about our great selection of artisan cheeses & charcuterie from local producers and all over the world. We also have a great selection of gourmet treats to take home and cover you for appetizers and cocktails!
On the beer front we have newer arrivals from Down the Road, Aeronaut, Banded Horn, Bunker Brewing, Night Shift, Rhinegeist, Base Camp, Wash Ashore, 21st Amendment
Winter Hours:
Tues-Sat. 10:30- 7:00
