“We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.”

Notes From the Cellar…..

This weekend's forecast: 60 degrees and cloudy with a mix of snow and rain to follow…haha- good one! None of Mother Nature’s little pranks can get us down over here- too much good wine to drink! We are hard at work sampling new wines, beers and spirits to bring in for the spring and summer seasons. Join us Friday from 3-6 and Saturday as we sample a few of our new finds that will keep you thinking happy thoughts of warmer days and flowers in bloom!
This weekend's wines:
’14 Domaine Pajot “Les 4 Cépages”, Côtes de Gascogne, France- A dry, well-balance white blend with expressive aromatics and the pronounced tropical fruit character of its Sauvignon Blanc. Organic. Excellent as a porch wine before dinner or with mild cheeses, white meat, and seafood dishes.
’13 Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore, Giuliano Rosati, Verona, Italy- Dark cherry fruits with the richness and raisiny quality from the reuse of dried grapes from Amarone production backed up by big, food- loving acidity. Pairs with braised and stewed meat dishes, Italian dinners and aged cheeses.
’12 Minervois, Zazou, Languedoc-Roussillion, France- Syrah/Mourvedre/Grenache- Dark fruit with medium body and medium tannic finish. Mouthcoating fruit with a silky texture and a touch of earthiness. Pair with roasted chicken, pork dishes, chili and grilled meats.
On the beer front we have new in- Wormtown Be Hoppy, Long Trail Green Blaze IPA and Smash Project #3, Maine Beer & Heavy Seas collaboration, Two Roads Road Jam, Avery Out of Bounds and a bunch of beer from Evil Twin.
As always take 10% off any 3 wines we are tasting.

Cheers!
