Weekend Wine Picks!!

Notes From the Cellar…..

Spring is definitely in the air and May is just around the corner! With our thoughts turning to warmer weather, patio parties and barbecues we are featuring 3 fantastic deals you can put on your table any day. This weekend we turn our glasses to the Pacific Northwest for a refreshing, mouthwatering Rosé from Oregon, a single vineyard Washington St. Chardonnay, and a full bodied, Cabernet from one of Washington’s great producers. And get this- they’re each only $14.99! We will be pouring Friday from 3-6 and Saturday, so stop by and see what else is new!
’15 Underwood Rosé, Oregon- From the winemakers at Union Wine Co. comes this rosé that is everything you look for in a summer sipper great for backyard parties or the beach; luscious melon and berry fruits, quenching acidity and a total lack of pretense!
’13 For a Song Caliche Vineyard Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, WA- A single vineyard from the Ancient Lakes AVA of Washington St. this Chardonnay shows bight fruit character of green apple, tropical fruit and citrus well balanced with racy acidity and a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel that doesn’t overwhelm. Is it oaked? Unoaked?...It’s oaked just enough to give it a little extra body and toast!
’14 Sharecropper Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley, WA- Sourced from local farmers and produced by winemaker David O’Reilly of Owen Roe Winery, is this extremely solid Cabernet that bursts with ripe blackberry, blueberry and candied fruit, a warming, savory palate and balanced acidity with lingering tannins. Supporting local farmers one bottle at a time!
As always take 10% off any 3 wines we are tasting.
On the beer front we have newer arrivals from Wormtown, Victory, Woodstock, Cisco, Von Trapp, Brewmaster Jack, 21st Amendment and Fullers!
Cheers!
