’13 H. u. M. Hofer Grüner Veltliner, Weinviertel, Austria – Hofer is one of the standout producers in Austria’s largest wine growing region, overseeing 20 hectares of organic vineyards of Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Zweigelt, and St. Laurent. The 2013 Grüner shows aromas of stone fruit, herbs, pepper, followed by flavors of citrus, mineral, and white pepper with vibrant acidity. This is a great match with sushi, southeast Asian cuisine, fish and white meat. $16.99/1 Liter
’12 Vacqueyras ‘Garrigues,’ Montirius, Rhône, France – Fans of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and southern Côtes du Rhône wines will certainly enjoy wines from Vacqueyras, neighboring Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Montirius biodynamically farms this blend of Grenache and Syrah. The Garrigues is aged in cement for 18 months and displays aromas of red fruit, thyme, rosemary, and wild lavender, followed by red fruit flavor, rich texture, hints of bramble, and smooth tannins. Perfect with roasted meats and game. $23.99
