Cellar d'Or- Tasting New Wines! 9/19-20

Notes From the Cellar…..

Join us Fri & Sat from 3-6 Sept 19&20 as we sample some brand new wine selections from France and California. Fall is an exciting time for wines as we are on the hunt for new selections for the cooler seasons to rotate in!
Our seasonal beer selection is in full swing so take advantage of some of our favorite fall selections that are around for only a few months!
As always, take 10% off any 3 bottles of wine we are tasting on the table.
’12 Waterstone Chardonnay, Carneros, California – Carneros offers a slightly cooler climate than the Napa benchland making it more suitable for growing Chardonnay grapes. 2012 provided optimum ripeness giving an aroma of citrus, pear, green apple, nectarine and a hint of oak. The palate is long and lingering with good structure and the potential to improve with age. Try this wine with lobster, risotto or fall dishes such as squash soup. $19.99
’13 Minervois, Château Sainte Eulalie, Languedoc-Roussillon, France – Minervois is known for, supple, dry reds utilizing typical southern French varietals such as Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. This offering is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan showing luscious fruit aromas of ripe plums and blackberries and a hint of black pepper spice. The mouthfeel is medium to full with long dark fruit and grainy tannins on the finish. This is a great accompaniment to grilled meats and pasta dishes. $15.99
Also don't forget about the upcoming Duxbury Food & Wine Festival. We will have some of our beers represented at the Oktoberfest as well as a great selection of our wines available to try at the Grand Tasting on Sat. Sept. 27th! The weekend will also feature a Gala Dinner at the Maritime School and an Oyster Fest on Sunday!
Tickets are available in the store or online at http://www.duxburyfoodandwinefestival.com.
